Hi Charlotte, how are you? It is lovely to see you again, and thank you so much for offering to be interviewed for Well Smacked Blog. Can I start by asking when you first became interested in spanking? Or perhaps what was your first adult spanking experience.

Oh, goodness I do wonder where my interest started.  I have certainly been fascinated by bottoms, both men’s and women’s for a long time.  My first proper spanking experience was with an early boyfriend.  We were quite into each other at the time and during foreplay we liked to pat each other a little.  One time I suggested to him that he could smack my bottom, so he turned me over and began. I thought it was going to be just a few light pats but as I wiggled my cheeks he began really spanking me hard.  It stung a lot but it was incredible all at the same time.

What is it particularly that you find interesting about people smacking each other’s bottoms?

For me it’s the intimacy of it.  Especially over a disciplinarian’s knee or spanking someone myself, I just feel so close and either under their control or in control.  When I’m receiving a really sound spanking I get a lovely feeling of the intense sting but also the relieving of tension.  It’s partly the physical nature of being smacked but it’s even more the emotional effect on me.  It feels like letting out a suppressed “no-one can know” feeling, if you can understand what I mean.

I like that! Yes, it does feel like a fun secret desire that you are occasionally able to feel for real. So you developed an interest in adult spanking and corporal punishment.  How did you come to be involved in the films Miss Svenson makes for Girl Next Door Productions?

Well, by chance a family friend who is a lady older than me became quite chatty with me in a quiet corner of the pub one evening.

She must have thought I was a little kinky because after a glass of wine or two she began talking a bit more freely about so called ‘slap and tickle’.  Anyway, to cut a long story short, a little later she elaborated and said that actually she liked quite strict spanking.  Not only that, she had been in some specialist spanking films made by a lady called Miss Svenson.  I have to say I was all intrigued and little by little I picked up on the idea that she’d like to ask Miss Svenson if I could be in one of her films too.  I hesitated quite a bit but after we had talked some more and she reassured me it was a very safe and respectful environment I decided I’d give it a try.  So we contacted Miss Svenson and it developed from there.

Tell us a little bit about the first film you were in – the Dancing Shoes wasn’t it?  What went through your mind after you’d agreed to take part?

Oh gosh. I was very nervous and wondered if I’d done the right thing.  But I’m also the sort of person who will stick to what they have said they will do.  I wondered if I’d be able to do it to be honest – not only take a spanking but also to act in the right way.

How did you prepare yourself for the filming?

Well I’d done some drama when I was younger so I thought about all the things we’d been taught on how to hold yourself when you’re acting. That sort of thing I suppose.  This helped quite a lot but it was also good to be working with two other girls as well.  One of them Bonnie, who played Diana, had been in some of Miss Svenson’s films before and was very reassuring.

In the filming itself I found myself reacting to the spanking quite naturally with whimpers and pleadings while I was over Miss Sullivan’s knee.  But I deliberately made it sound even more pleading because I thought it would sound good.

You’re dead right.  In all my years of seeing spanking films, the spankee’s reactions are really important. I love the way you and the other ladies on Girl Next Door do that.  So of the films you have been in which is your favourite and why?

I’ve loved being in all of the films I’ve done so far.  I’ll mention two in particular.

Punishment-wise l am going to say the film just called ‘Charlotte’.  The spankings I got over Miss Sullivan’s knee with hand and hairbrush were incredible.  I mean I had to grit my teeth; she just spanked and spanked.  I don’t think I had ever received anything quite like that.  It really was amazing as well as very stingy!  My bottom felt like it was on fire.

Overall enjoyment-wise the film called ‘The Secret Book’ which I did with Susie-Li was the best so far.  The first scenes where Miss Svenson filmed Susie and I giving each other spankings with hand and slipper were huge fun.  Susie has a great sense of humour and I think our playfulness came out so well in the film.

Yeah I thought ‘The Secret Book’ was most endearing with the two of you playing a dangerous naughty game in the early scenes.  And then of course you were caught by Miss Svenson who went on to give you such amazing punishments side by side.

Yes, the rest of the film concentrated on much stricter punishment but all three of us still kept up a bit of the humorous side, especially in between filming!

You’ve recently worked with Ariel Andersen in ‘The Audition’, and Amy Carter as firm but fair Miss Matthews punished both of you.

Ariel Andersen has a lot of experience working in spanking films over the last few years.  What was she like to work with?

I loved working with Ariel Andersen. She was so supportive and sweet throughout the whole shoot. She was regularly checking I was doing ok, and I did the same with her. She is also really cheeky and amusing in a very nice way and very good fun with her dialogue.

I think ‘The Audition’ is such a lovely film and it was great to see the ballet steps and poses. Did you have to practise a lot beforehand?

To be honest I don’t think either of us did much to practise ahead of the shoot day.  We’d both done dance when we were younger.  Ariel did have a number of the classic ballet moves to demonstrate.  So it all worked out pretty well.  Miss Svenson had obtained some lovely costumes and ballet shoes which I think looked really good.  It turned out that the ballet shoes had really quite hard soles though!  I thought a hairbrush was stingy but those ballet pumps were a nightmare (hee- hee)

You often receive pretty hard punishments in the films. You mentioned the film ‘Charlotte’.  You must have received around 500 hard smacks with the hairbrush from Miss Sullivan. You also receive some very hard canings from Miss Svenson on occasion.  I find the cane quite unique in its sting.  How do you prepare yourself mentally for a caning?

It may sound strange but I sort of prepare for it by preparing myself for something I find even more challenging.  For me that’s the strap or tawse.  Because they are flexible I find the straps really flick hard at their tail end and the sting is always a shock.  There’s almost an electric ‘zing’ to the slap when each stroke smacks your bottoms cheeks. So that’s how I prepare for a caning – by imagining and remembering how I find the tawse even harder.

How do you manage yourself physically and emotionally during the actual caning or strapping?  For me, despite the intensity of the stinging strokes, I find an inner enjoyment.

Do you have anything similar to that?

I make a mental decision on the physical side to accept the challenge each time.

I know I do enjoy it physically even though it’s the infliction of quite intense temporary discomfort. I also know that I am being punished in a controlled and caring way.

Emotionally it’s interesting with spanking and caning etc.  Beforehand on the way to a shoot and indeed afterwards I think about how I like these punishments in a sexual or erotic sense. But during the actual punishments there isn’t an erotic element.  The emotions of accepting discipline from a strict disciplinarian take over.  What I really love so much about it is that it feels like exploring what I might call ‘a different version of yourself’.

I like that – ‘a different version of yourself’.  It’s amazing what spanking can bring out in you isn’t it!

You also mentioned another favourite film of mine earlier – ‘The Secret Book’ where you are joined by the beautiful Susie-Li.  In this film you get to do some spanking yourself.  Do you like to administer discipline as well as receive it – so called switching?

I certainly do.  As I said I loved doing that film with Susie.

I am bisexual so the chance to spank another girl for the first time in one of the films was something I really looked forward to. It was absolutely brilliant! Susie and I had so much fun and it was full of really special moments.  Such a giggle!

I’ve been punished by you myself, and you certainly can spank very well indeed.  Do you have a favourite spanking implement to use?

You know I really love wooden paddles the most I think.  They feel so solid and strong in your hand.  I love the sound a good wooden paddle makes when I spank a deserving bottom.

I also like the deep red blush they bring to a pair of bottom cheeks as well as the impression you see using paddles with holes (*grin*)!   I find them better to use than straps and tawses.  I know they are anything but flimsy but they do just feel a bit like that to me. I think it’s because they are that bit more flexible, they feel less easy to control compared to a more solid implement.

Girl Next Door Productions is very much an all women team and my impression is that filming sessions are conducted in a very safe and consensual fashion.  What’s it like working with Miss Svenson?    

It’s fantastic. I find her very inspirational.  Her technique with all implements is really skilful and she is so appreciative of limits.  So the punishments look and are strict but she administers spankings and canings in a very measured way nonetheless.

Girl Next Door shoots are a very safe and consensual environment to work in.  We also have immense fun doing the films.  Miss Svenson gets quite carried away in the moment sometimes during shoots. I don’t mean in an uncontrolled way but creatively.  It’s great because every time I work with her it is different and she always has some new ideas to try.  She has also taught me a lot about the skills of administering safe but sound discipline to those who like to receive it! Like you of course!

Nearly all of the Girl Next Door production are F/F scenes. Do you find it different to be spanked and punished by a man compared to a woman?  Do you have a preference?

To me it’s not a question of gender.  It’s much more about being comfortable with the other person. If I feel relaxed and comfortable emotionally with someone, then being spanked by them will feel great, man or woman.

It’s when the intimate feeling I spoke about feels really wonderful even if you are getting a really sore red bottom!

As a young woman involved in consensual adult spanking, what advice would you give to any other young women, or perhaps even young men, who might be thinking of doing some filming?  

I think it’s important to have a safe and comfortable working environment.

You need to make sure you’re clear about your limits and that they are respected, within the bounds of being stretched a little in a consensual way.  You need to make sure you have a good knowledge of your own limits, and also how they might change a little over time or at different times.  It is also worth trying things out at home if that is possible with a partner before getting into things like film shoots.  Girl Next Door productions certainly provides all of these things for me.

The guy who runs the site called spankingblogg does a thing called the spanking awards each year.  I and lots of others were delighted when you came runner-up in the Best Spankee Newcomer 2016 category.  What was your reaction to that?

I was gob-smacked.  I really didn’t know I would get anywhere and I didn’t know much about those awards.  I am so pleased to have come runner up as best spankee newcomer and it makes me happy to think lots of people enjoy the films.
